Pay Rate:   $15.45 to $19.31

What you’ll be working on: 

  • The GreenDrop Bookstore Ambassador role is critical to our success and helps to ensure that we reach our goal of providing exceptional service to both our donors and our customers every day.
  • As donors arrive, this position will create a welcoming experience by greeting each donor, unloading the donations from their vehicles, ensuring customer donations are properly recorded, providing an overall welcoming, friendly, helpful, and efficient customer service experience while also performing general recovery duties.


Essential Job Functions: 

Independently and collaboratively interact with donors while using a positive, optimistic, and intelligent technique.

This includes but is not limited to the following: 

  • Promptly open the location each assigned day and prepare the site for business
  • Independently interact with donors and customers with a positive attitude providing them with friendly, helpful and efficient customer service in every interaction
    • Friendly: Smile, make eye contact, greet, compliment the donor donation or customer purchase and thank them
    • Helpful: Respond quickly as donors or customer approach, help them unload or answer any questions they may have, and tell them about our nonprofit partner
    • Efficient: Keep interactions moving. Be alert to customers or donors waiting, and work efficiently
    • Self-Checkout Register: Smiles and greets each customer. Monitors customer activity and quickly responds to customers who need assistance. Proactively encourages customers to use self-checkout and educates customers on how to use self-checkout.
  • Assist donors with their donations and help to unload their vehicles
  • Record donation details, and organize the collection area to achieve maximum efficiency
  • Assist driver during donation pick-ups
  • Maintain overall cleanliness and safety standards outside the store and in the collection area.
  • Stock the book department with new products daily and remove old product. Help maintain organization and shopability of the book department and eliminate deadstock. Continuously shift groups of merchandise within the categories to merchandise new items. Pick up items off the floor and return them to their proper area. Dust, clean and organize shelves
  • Perform all opening and closing procedures
  • Other duties assigned by the manager

Minimum Age Requirements:  

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
