What you’ll be working on:
The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365, with a strong focus on Finance, Supply Chain Management, and Commerce. The candidate will be skilled at translating complex business and operational requirements into scalable functional solutions, configuring and optimizing system capabilities, and leading deployment, security, and user acceptance testing activities across the enterprise application landscape.
The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for the configuration, support, optimization, and strategic roadmap of the Dynamics 365 Finance, Supply Chain Management, and Commerce platforms. Working closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external vendors, this role delivers stable, scalable, and business-aligned solutions that drive operational excellence. The position serves as a subject matter expert and primary point of contact for application support, incident resolution, system enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives. Success in this role requires a comprehensive understanding of the Savers’ D365 ecosystem and related services, with the opportunity to make a significant impact on business performance and growth.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with business stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document business requirements, translating operational needs into scalable Dynamics 365 solutions while maximizing standard platform capabilities and minimizing customizations.
- Act as the business owner and steward of functional system configuration, ensuring changes are properly documented, tested, approved, and promoted through development, testing, and production environments in accordance with established change management processes.
- Design, configure, and optimize end-to-end Finance and Procurement business processes within Dynamics 365 F/SCM(F&O), including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Product Information Management, Procurement and Sourcing, Vendor Management, and related workflows.
- Serve as the functional subject matter expert for Dynamics 365 F/SCM, advising stakeholders on system capabilities, best practices, process improvements, and opportunities to leverage new platform functionality.
- Provide day-to-day functional support for Dynamics 365 users, investigating production issues, performing root cause analysis, coordinating defect resolution, and managing escalations with implementation partners and software vendors as needed.
- Collaborate with technical teams, integration partners, and business stakeholders to support system integrations, data management activities, release deployments, environment validation, and ongoing platform enhancements.
- Analyze business processes and system performance to identify opportunities for optimization, automation, standardization, and increased operational efficiency across Finance and Procurement functions.
- Develop and maintain functional specifications, business process documentation, configuration workbooks, training materials, knowledge articles, and support procedures.
- Participate in application governance, enhancement prioritization, backlog management, and release planning activities while helping define the long-term roadmap for the Dynamics 365 platform.
- Provide support during critical business operations, including month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close processes, and be available to respond to high-priority system issues outside of normal business hours when required.
What you have:
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- 5+ years of hands-on functional experience implementing, configuring, and supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, with primary expertise in Finance, Procurement, and Supply Chain Management processes.
- 8-10 years of combined experience in information systems
- Strong functional configuration knowledge of core D365 Finance modules, including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Fixed Assets, Procurement and Sourcing, Vendor Management, and Inventory Management.
- Demonstrated ability to gather, analyze, and document business, functional, and technical requirements and translate them into scalable D365 solutions using standard platform capabilities.
- Experience designing, configuring, and supporting business workflows, approval processes, role-based security models, and segregation of duties controls within D365 Finance & Operations.
- Strong understanding of ERP best practices, business process design, and the evaluation of out-of-the-box functionality versus customization, extensions, and ISV solutions.
- Experience supporting application lifecycle management processes, including configuration management, change control, testing, deployment validation, and production support.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting functional issues, performing root cause analysis, and coordinating resolution efforts across business, technical, and vendor teams.
- Strong analytical reporting solutions, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and support activities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high attention to detail and customer service.
- Experience facilitating user acceptance testing (UAT), regression testing, and business validation activities for new functionality, enhancements, and integrations.
Minimum Required Education, Training and Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in Information Systems, Business Administration, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Proven ability to facilitate workshops, lead business process discussions, and present technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Some working knowledge of D365 security governance, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance, audit controls, role-based security frameworks, and segregation of duties (SoD) principles to support organizational governance and compliance objectives.
- Microsoft certifications such as MB-310 Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance Functional Consultant Associate, MB-330 Microsoft Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management Functional Consultant Associate, or equivalent certifications.
