Tax and Compliance Manager

Description

Primary functions include:
  • Develop effective Company internal tax and compliance procedures, processes, and policies to ensure adherence to applicable tax and compliance laws and regulations. 
  • Calculate and review all tax obligations working with external advisors, auditors and internal stakeholders to ensure tax obligations are met on time and correctly calculated/paid.
  • File all tax returns, and prepare all other regulatory requirements on time, as required by applicable laws and regulations.
  • Develop and implement strategic tax planning programs for all necessary taxes to paid by the Company and its stakeholders.
  • Assess risks and advise management on on-going tax and compliance audits and concerns.
  • Liaise with tax authorities and government regulators.
  • Assist external auditors during audits of taxes and compliance transactions.
  • Support Finance Team in appropriate accounting for tax and completing government compliance-related matters/submissions.
  • Identify tax and regulatory issues and concerns associated by reviewing contracts and other documents to be executed with Clients, Vendors, and other External Parties.
  • Keep up to date with the latest tax and compliance laws and regulations and ensure that the company is compliant. 
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting (Certified Public Accountant License is required)
  • 4 years managerial experience in high growth organizations handling tax and compliance, performing tax computation, reconciliation, planning and analysis of tax practices and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Experience with PEZA and BOI – registered Entities is a must.
  • Strong Computer skills, MS Office Applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Power BI, etc.
  • Accounting/Financial software experience, experience with Xero is preferredPrior experience as Tax and Compliance Officer/Associate in any Audit Firm is preferred.
