Test Engineer (SO2)
Description
As a Test Engineer, you will be:
- Analysing requirements, specifications and technical design documents to assess potential risks with system integration
- Suggesting solutions to identified product problems
- Developing detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and cases
- Developing object-oriented code using java and playwright
- Estimating, prioritising and planning testing activities with the team
- Executing manual test cases
- Performing thorough regression testing pre and post deployment stage
- Liaising with developers, architects and product owners to ensure the team's goals and objectives are achieved per sprint
- Reporting all defects and bugs encountered during execution with all the necessary details
- Communicating with teammates regarding risks and issues encountered during tests
- Reporting to the Test Lead progress on Test Planning, Designing, and Execution for each sprint
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Expertise in writing and designing unambiguous test cases using different types of test design techniques
- Expertise in API testing, REST, SOAP, JSON and XML
- Expertise in developing clean code automated test scripts using JAVA
- Knowledgeable in dependency management tools such as Maven
- Knowledgeable in writing basic queries with SQL
- Knowledgeable on using JIRA and Confluence as a project, defect, and work management tool

Qualifications & Experience:
- ISTQB CTFL certification is a plus
- Experience working knowledge with testing phases and test environment management
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process (S.A.F.E is desirable)
- Experience on testing Web-based and Single Page Application architectures
- Familiarity with Azure Cloud
- Ability to thrive under production pressure and deadlines
- Team oriented with good interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with co-workers and product management team
- Ability to work reliably and responsibly with internal and external colleagues to achieve goals
- Excellent english written and verbal communication skills
