The Cash Application Supervisor is responsible for the overall cash application including supervision of the daily activities related to the postings of payments to customer accounts, research and resolution of unapplied cash receipts, as well as research and maintenance of customer information to improve the identification of customer payments. 
 
  
 
This position supports other department functions and requires the person to have a basic understanding of these functions, how this position affects the department workflow, and be able to communicate effectively when others may be affected.  
 
 
Essential Functions: 
 
 
As our Cash Application Supervisor, you will bring your analytical acumen to the forefront of our revenue cycle management process. You will play a pivotal part in pinpointing and resolving workflow challenges.   
 
  
 
To thrive in this role, you'll employ your expertise in analytics to evaluate and enhance our revenue cycle management. Your organizational and leadership skills will be crucial in conducting operational meetings with a focus on boosting overall performance and accuracy. Attention to detail is key as you'll be responsible for preparing and providing reports on key AR metrics.  
 
  
 
What You Can Expect:  
 
  • Oversee and contribute to the daily operations of the cash posting team, ensuring accurate and timely posting of all cash receipts.  
  • Manage and monitor the revenue cycle process, identifying and implementing improvements to optimize efficiency and accuracy.  
  • Generate and review reports related to cash posting activities, providing insights and recommendations accordingly.  
  • Reconcile client’s statements as needed.  
  • Improve processes using the previous experience and gained knowledge.  
  • Be proactive in communicating with clients when there are payment discrepancies or unidentified payments.  
  • Reporting account status to management.  
  • Research and adjust payments as needed if issues arise.  
  • Assisting collections department with research and facilitate client refunds when necessary.  
  • Maintain accurate, clear, concise, and complete account notes and other relevant information.  
  • Assist with month end closing tasks.  
 
 
  • Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.  
 
Requirements:  
 
  • Ability to work with all other departments to answer questions and resolve issues on a timely basis with both internal and external clients while ensuring exceptional customer service.  
  • Prior Supervisory experience preferred but not required.  
  • Experience utilizing metrics to measure cash posting accuracy and timeliness.  
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications, including strong Excel skills.  
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.  
  • Excellent attendance.  
  • Good critical thinking skills, logical and curious.  
  • Detail oriented and organized.  
  • Strong email skills. Able to communicate effectively with internal and external contacts.  
  • Good work attitude, adaptable, with multi-tasking abilities.  
  • Independent/self-motivated and ability to work in a team environment.  
  • Willingness to work outside scheduled work hours as needed.
