Description

Key Responsibilities – Critical in first 6 months, with decreasing requirements afterwards once financial reporting in Workday is working effectively 
Reporting 
  • Deliver accurate data and key management reports to the business within the agreed timeline
  • Create reports or templates to meet new business requirements.
  • Maintain all standard management reports in a consistent format across various brands
  • Strong system skills to adopt automation and visualisation reporting
  • Assist with implementation of new financial planning software (Workday), involving the roll forward of excel reporting files to Workday integration.
Financial Planning (Budget, Forecast & Analysis)
  • Assist in the co-ordination of annual budget process including budget pack preparation and system uploads
  • Assist in the co-ordination of 18 month rolling forecast
  • Partner with financial control team during month-end to deliver accurate monthly result with variance analysis against budget/forecast
Other Responsibilities – to compliment Key Responsibilities in first 6 months, with increasing requirements afterwards. The selection and combination of the below will depend on individual skillset and experience
Financial Accounting 
  • Preparation of financial information for Management and Board purposes
  • Process month end journals to produce financial results a well as reconciling and verifying entries and comparing to expectations, including a combination of:
    • Prepayments, cost recharges, travel expenses, fixed assets, general accruals
  • Financial Analysis and interpretation to drive optimal business outcomes
  • Responsible for the Accounts Receivable ledger
  • Responsible for the recognition of cash related transactions including the reconciliation of entries in the bank module
  • Preparation of company tax submissions, including GST and FBT
 
The following experience is beneficial:
  • Accounting qualifications e.g. CA, CPA (studying or completed)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, with strong data manipulation and visualisation skills (charts and graphs). Must be able to utilise pivot tables, formulas, and create impactful presentations. Experience in Excel VBA is a plus.
  • Previous systems experiences with Workday and AP21 preferable
