Assistant Accountant (SO2)

About the role
Directly reporting to the Senior Accountant, the successful candidate will join a dynamic and collaborative team who are passionate about what they do and will be provided the opportunity to further develop their finance and accounting skill set.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Raising Sales invoices
- Setting up suppliers and supplier agreements
- Raising purchase orders and entering supplier invoices
- Respond to supplier account queries and resolve any invoice discrepancies in a professional manner
- Helping the operations team with scheduling the jobs
- Checking stock levels and re-ordering low stock
- Assist with month reports
- Ad-hoc duties within the finance team
Skills and Experience
- Accounting degree from an Australian Tertiary Institution
- 2-4 years’ experience in similar company accounting role with hands on approach covering the above duties
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Familiarity with Simpro and XERO is advantageous
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and in particular intermediate to advanced Excel skills
- Proactive approach and positive attitude
- Strong ability to solve problems, offer solutions and make decisions
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and the ability to multi-task
