Understand Compliance regime as a Mortgage broker

Bank Liaison

Following up banks for -

  • Application progress
  • Pricing requests
  • Deal escalations
  • Documentation
  • Settlement bookings
AD-hoc requests - i.e. discharge, loan amendments etc

Client Liaison

Interact with clients for

  • Requesting extra information
  • Providing updates
  • Contacting during key dates eg. loan anniversary
  • Email management

Key Competencies and experience

The ideal candidate for this role would be expected to have the following the attributes -

 

Mandatory

  • At least 3 years working directly on AUS mortgage broking files
  • Ability to understand AUS payslips, financials, tax returns – to service self-employed clients
  • Familiar with AOL (Apply Online)
  • Familiar with other aggregation platforms (eg Infynity, Sales trekker, Podium, Mercury etc)
  • Ability to critically assess information being submitted to lenders and cognitive understanding of bank responses. They don’t need to know the answer, they will just need to be able to identify and escalate to us for our response.
  • Team player and not afraid to get on the phone and speak with us to ask questions to aid understanding or check on file progress.
  • Self motivated
  • Excellent attention to detail

Preferred but not essential

  • Accounting background in AUS taxation
  • 5 years plus or extensive experience in processing AUS mortgages
  • Experience with Infynity CRM (Finsure Group)
  • Leadership aspirations – we are growing and would like this candidate to potentially provide leadership guidance to the team as we scale up.
  • Experience in writing commercial or business loans
