Role Overview:

The Junior AML Compliance Officer will support the AML Compliance team in ensuring that SendFX meets its regulatory obligations related to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter-Terrorism Financing (CTF). This role involves monitoring, reviewing, and reporting suspicious activities, conducting due diligence, and assisting in the development and implementation of compliance policies and procedures. 

Key Responsibilities:

1. Transaction Monitoring and Reporting: 

  • Monitor transactions for suspicious activities using the company's AML software. 
  • Investigate and report suspicious activities to the MLRO. 
  • Assist in the preparation of Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) for submission to relevant authorities. 

2. Customer Due Diligence (CDD): 

  • Conduct initial and ongoing CDD/KYC (Know Your Customer) checks for new and existing clients. 
  • Verify customer identities and maintain accurate records. 
  • Escalate higher-risk cases for Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD). 

3. Policy and Procedure Development: 

  • Assist in the development, review, and implementation of AML/CTF policies and procedures. 
  • Ensure that all policies and procedures are up-to-date and in line with regulatory requirements. 

4. Training and Awareness: 

  • Participate in the development and delivery of AML training programs for staff. 
  • Stay informed about changes in AML/CTF regulations and best practices. 

5. Audit and Compliance Reviews: 

  • Support internal and external audits and regulatory reviews. 
  • Assist in the preparation of documentation and responses for audits. 

6. Record Keeping and Reporting: 

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all AML/CTF-related activities. 
  • Prepare regular compliance reports for senior management. 

Qualifications and Skills: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Law, Business, or a related field. 
  • Some experience in AML compliance, financial services, or a related field is preferred but not essential. 
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 
  • Proficiency in using compliance software and Microsoft Office Suite. 
  • Strong ethical standards and integrity.
