Admin Officer / Junior Bookkeeper (SO2)
Description
Working with a dedicated team of bookkeeping and accounting professionals, the right candidate will be willing to take ownership of key administrative tasks and operational tasks of the business to support our team. You will be a primary point of contact for the practice, responding to enquiries via phone and email and managing staff workflow.
The right candidate will have a friendly and welcoming client-focused attitude, great communication skills and the ability to manage their workload and see through to completion.

Responsibilities:
- Responding to client enquiries and management of administration inbox
- Monitor accounts receivable and carry out debt collection
- Work with our team of bookkeepers, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and professional growth
- Manage and reconcile financial transactions and maintain accurate records
- Process invoices, expenses, and payments in a timely manner
- Prepare financial statements
- Manage client debtors and creditors
- Manage client payroll and employer obligations
Experience required:
- Experience in administration and/or an office management role
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong time management skills, initiative and effective problem solving capabilities
- High attention to detail
- Knowledge of Xero, MYOB and similar accounting software packages
- Bookkeeping experience (Preferred)
- Intermediate understanding of accounting principles (Preferred)
- Experience working with multiple clients through an Australian based firm
