SCOPE

The Digital Content Writer is primarily responsible for the delivery of high quality, creative work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Reporting to the Web and Content Manager, the Digital Content Writer will be guided on areas of focus, working both independently and as part of a team to achieve success.

On a day-to-day basis, the Digital Content Writer will handle multiple, changing priorities, and exercise a notable ability to work well under pressure and achieve strict deadlines.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Research and write content for a variety of clients of many demographics
  • Research and write stories relevant to the SME sector;
  • Create content for a variety of print and digital formats/platforms;
  • Identify trending topics/forecasted industry changes;
  • Produce content for client websites.
JOB DUTIES
  • Deliver a range of high-performing digital content types to achieve DD clients’ objectives;
  • Work with several internal teams to leverage and share content;
  • Ensure all content is compliant with client and industry expectations;
  • Work with digital channels, marketing teams and agencies to support SEO and SEM strategies for all online content;
  • Work with publishing teams to ensure that content is distributed and uploaded to digital platforms;
  • Work with the broader DD team to leverage and share content;
  • Manage the development, sourcing and repurposing of end-customer content;
  • Ensure that all content adheres to DD client branding and tone of voice standards.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES
  • Demonstrable experience writing for digital platforms in a professional capacity;
  • A good track record of delivering digital, SEO and content strategies and projects;
  • Strong project-based work experience;
  • Excellent project management and organisational skills;
  • Outstanding written English, numeracy and communication skills;
  • Passionate about creative copy and able to set the tone for different brands;
  • Highly organised with meticulous attention to detail;
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment;
  • Able to work well within a team, as well as independently with minimal supervision;
  • Confident in identifying and sharing ideas for innovative content and using initiative to solve problems;
  • Capable of working towards and achieving set deadlines, showing resourcefulness and tenacity;
  • Results-driven, proactive and willing to go above and beyond to complete tasks as required;
  • Flexible and eager to embrace change in a rapidly evolving work and market environment
