The primary focus of the Senior Project Manager is to drive the fulfillment and delivery of projects on time and on budget, utilizing effective governance controls in place. This role will operate as the main liaison with stakeholders for all aspects of a project’s lifecycle, as well as coordinate with the organizations team members for involvement, cooperation, and input when needed. This role will also be the main catalyst for continuous improvement as well as full documentation for all projects, policies, and programs. 

This is a hands-on role, responsible for execution and management of special projects across all support teams as part of the company’s thrust of continuously achieving significant growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES 

  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, in scope and within budget 
  • Developing project scopes, requirements, deliverables and benefits, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility is completed 
  • Ensure resource availability, allocation and coordination of internal resources and third parties/vendors for the delivery of projects 
  • Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques 
  • Report and escalate to management as needed 
  • Manage the relationship with all stakeholders 
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks 
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation 
  • Continuously review and improve all processes, technologies, and methodologies 
  • Demonstrate Coaching and Mentoring to drive team performance 
  • Quickly identify and prioritise issues and actively monitor their resolution 
  • Monitor client satisfaction throughout the project and ensure that the outcomes meet the client’s objectives 
  • Complete project reviews that celebrate the project success, recognize contributions, assist personal development and provide delivery improvement insights. 
  • Refine and innovate service delivery and project approaches based on project learns

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE 

  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in a similar role 
  • Experience in IT / software implementation is preferred but not required 
  • Ability to assess Business ROI somewhere 
  • Demonstrated systematic approach and ability to create systems 
  • Familiar with Google Suite and Mac is a plus 
  • Power user of the tools you use for your job 
  • Ability to work unsupervised as an individual contributor and Manager 
  • Must have an entrepreneurial mindset – accountable for recommendations and decisions 
  • Proven project management and documentation experience 
  • Extensive experience in managing stakeholders, driving the use of technology, and automation 
  • Ability to negotiate without being adversarial 
  • A methodical and analytical approach to working 
  • Proven track record of managing and launching initiatives 
  • Expert ability to analyse, evaluate and document business processes and procedures
