Analytics Engineering Lead (SO2)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead the development and continuous improvement of the data analytics & AI/ML framework, standards, practices, and procedures
Lead and drive data-driven initiatives in support of the Data and Analytics Strategy
Act as the Design Authority for all Data Analytics solutions
Plan, prioritise and execute data analytics related activities and work collaboratively with the Data Management and Data Engineering teams
Perform an ongoing maturity assessment of data analytics practices and identification of any people, process & technology needs to close any gaps
Lead the enablement of the data analytics and AI/ML capabilities
Engage and communicate with key business stakeholders such as product owners, data analysts etc and drive sprint planning to ensure the continuous delivery of business value
Grow and mentor a team of data analytics specialists

Essential requirements

A tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Data Science, Business Analytics is highly regarded
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in similar role with demonstrated experience leading data analytics related solutions
Highly proficient analytical skills working with both structured and unstructured data
Extensive experience working with data analytics technologies such as Power BI, Tableau, Qlik
Experience designing and deploying diagnostic, descriptive, what-if, predictive and prescriptive analytical solutions
Experience with, and knowledge of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Cognitive Services
Experience working with, and knowledge of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Cognitive Services etc
Highly proficient and extensive experience in the use of programming languages such as T-SQL, Python, R, and statistical packages etc
Excellent interpersonal and both oral and written communication skills
Ability to build relationships with a variety of stakeholders
Experience managing/leading a team
Capacity to align strategic and operational needs with organisational development initiatives
Solid project management and agile development experience
Ability to travel
