Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the development and continuous improvement of the data analytics & AI/ML framework, standards, practices, and procedures
  • Lead and drive data-driven initiatives in support of the Data and Analytics Strategy
  • Act as the Design Authority for all Data Analytics solutions
  • Plan, prioritise and execute data analytics related activities and work collaboratively with the Data Management and Data Engineering teams
  • Perform an ongoing maturity assessment of data analytics practices and identification of any people, process & technology needs to close any gaps
  • Lead the enablement of the data analytics and AI/ML capabilities
  • Engage and communicate with key business stakeholders such as product owners, data analysts etc and drive sprint planning to ensure the continuous delivery of business value
  • Grow and mentor a team of data analytics specialists

Essential requirements

  • A tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Data Science, Business Analytics is highly regarded
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in similar role with demonstrated experience leading data analytics related solutions
  • Highly proficient analytical skills working with both structured and unstructured data
  • Extensive experience working with data analytics technologies such as Power BI, Tableau, Qlik
  • Experience designing and deploying diagnostic, descriptive, what-if, predictive and prescriptive analytical solutions
  • Experience with, and knowledge of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Cognitive Services
  • Experience working with, and knowledge of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Cognitive Services etc
  • Highly proficient and extensive experience in the use of programming languages such as T-SQL, Python, R, and statistical packages etc
  • Excellent interpersonal and both oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to build relationships with a variety of stakeholders
  • Experience managing/leading a team
  • Capacity to align strategic and operational needs with organisational development initiatives
  • Solid project management and agile development experience
  • Ability to travel
