Analytics Engineering Lead (SO2)
Description
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the development and continuous improvement of the data analytics & AI/ML framework, standards, practices, and procedures
- Lead and drive data-driven initiatives in support of the Data and Analytics Strategy
- Act as the Design Authority for all Data Analytics solutions
- Plan, prioritise and execute data analytics related activities and work collaboratively with the Data Management and Data Engineering teams
- Perform an ongoing maturity assessment of data analytics practices and identification of any people, process & technology needs to close any gaps
- Lead the enablement of the data analytics and AI/ML capabilities
- Engage and communicate with key business stakeholders such as product owners, data analysts etc and drive sprint planning to ensure the continuous delivery of business value
- Grow and mentor a team of data analytics specialists
Essential requirements
- A tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Data Science, Business Analytics is highly regarded
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in similar role with demonstrated experience leading data analytics related solutions
- Highly proficient analytical skills working with both structured and unstructured data
- Extensive experience working with data analytics technologies such as Power BI, Tableau, Qlik
- Experience designing and deploying diagnostic, descriptive, what-if, predictive and prescriptive analytical solutions
- Experience with, and knowledge of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Cognitive Services
- Experience working with, and knowledge of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Cognitive Services etc
- Highly proficient and extensive experience in the use of programming languages such as T-SQL, Python, R, and statistical packages etc
- Excellent interpersonal and both oral and written communication skills
- Ability to build relationships with a variety of stakeholders
- Experience managing/leading a team
- Capacity to align strategic and operational needs with organisational development initiatives
- Solid project management and agile development experience
- Ability to travel
