Researches, develops and implements competitive pricing programs and/or banking products and services for various lines of business to appropriately price based on risk, deposit, or credit goals while maintaining profitability. Continuously monitors the market and competitor strategies to ensure pricing is in line to provide consumers and/or clients a fair price while maintaining market share and/or deposit levels. Plans, directs and facilitates all phases of the pricing strategy changes from inception through introduction into the marketplace. Ensures products meet regulatory and industry standards.

Summary of Responsibilities:

The Sr. Associate, Policy & Governance assists in the oversight of pricing activities with respect to committee governance and the Pricing Operating policy for the team. S/he serves as a main point of contact for the department by responding to internal inquiries regarding procedures, regulatory requirements, and project status updates.

Essential Functions:

  • Partners closely with the Decision Sciences team, to ensure complete, consistent and accurate capturing and reporting with respect to governance and policies.

  • Serves as a point of contact for the department by responding to internal inquiries regarding procedures, regulatory requirements, and project status updates.

  • Assists in processing policy & governance assessments by analyzing data and identifying any plausible risks affecting the business and operations.

  • Prepares appropriate review memorandum summarizing liabilities and recommending follow-up evaluations

  • Informs employees on policies and guidelines to build a risk aware culture and practice across the organization.

  • Provides procedural guidance and support to junior analysts in the various functions of the department, and in the methods of tools of analysis.

  • Evaluates the strengths and weaknesses of existing controls and provides recommendations on opportunities for improvement.

  • Communicates and shares insight to causes of risk indicators and proposes recommendations to resolve or mitigate identified risks with team.

  • Analyzes trends in policy & governance data and escalates developments according to company policy and procedures for risk escalations.

  • Trains Policy & Governance associates as needed.

Requirements:

  • Education -

    • Bachelor's Degree: Technical Writing, English, Communications or a quantitative discipline like Statistics, Economics or Operations Research

    • or equivalent work experience: Equivalent combination of education and experience, required.

  • Experience -

    • 3-5 years Model Governance, Project Management, Internal Control, or Internal Audit experience.

  • Skills & Abilities -

    • Ability to analyze risk and provide recommendations and/or resolutions to minimize risk.

    • Ability to build and foster internal relationships.

    • Ability to change direction as project demand dictates.

    • Ability to effectively and clearly communicate instructions to others, summarize and articulate issues, and document findings in a clear and concise manner.

    • Ability to stay abreast of industry best practices, procedures, and techniques.

    • Strong organizational and time management skills.

    • Strong quantitative capabilities and analytical skills, including an investigative mindset.

Working Conditions:

  • Frequently: Minimal physical effort such as sitting, standing, and walking.

  • Occasional moving and lifting of equipment and furniture is required to support onsite and offsite meeting setup and teardown.

  • Physically capable of lifting up to fifty pounds, able to bend, kneel, climb ladders.
