The Director, Digital Marketing, is a leader playing a key role in showcasing the products, brands and initiatives of Santander Consumer USA and Chrysler Capital in the SEO, social media, content marketing and digital marketing space. The ideal candidate for this role is someone who is a great online community builder and writer with a high degree of experience and enthusiasm for new media. This leader must be exceptional at developing team members into impactful, innovative contributors. The Director, Digital Marketing, will provide engaging and persuasive social media content, paid social, paid search and display advertising campaigns on various platforms helping Santander Consumer USA grow and deploy its social media strategy.

Essential Functions:

·       Works with the VP, Marketing, and other strategic marketing associates to build robust online followings and create and execute a digital marketing strategy

·       Develops campaign roadmap for each digital channel

·       Innovates with relevant, engaging campaigns that resonate with the target audience

·       Create a content marketing strategy for each of Santander Consumer USA’s audiences

·       Monitors and engages in brand/industry-related conversations on social media sites and consumer/industry blogs

·       Develops, executes, manages and reports on paid social media, paid search and display ad campaigns

·       Develops business relationships with like-minded bloggers and writers in the industry, enabling SC USA to leverage such relationships for digital PR and cross-sell purposes

·       Keeps up to date on social media trends, new platforms, tools and products

·       Collaborates with other marketing teams to promote cohesive, multi-channel campaigns

·       Interfaces with business partners and stakeholders to consult and advise on digital strategy

 

Other Functions:

·       Special projects as requested.

·       Performs other duties as assigned.


Requirements:

·       Bachelor’s degree required

·       Digital marketing, social media/community management experience

·       At least eight (8) years of social media marketing involving organic and paid social media

·       At least five (5) years of experience managing a team within marketing

·       Actively engaged in the social media space

·       Experience with Sprinklr, Hootsuite, or other large-scale social media marketing platforms recommended

·       Experience with WorkFront, a plus

·       Experience with paid social media advertising

·       Experience in financial services and/or auto is strongly preferred

·       Experience with large corporations and/or highly regulated industries preferred

·       Self-motivator/flexible/team player

·       Able to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects

·       Experience with Microsoft Office

·       Ability to maintain confidentiality


Working Conditions:

·       Extended working hours may be required as dictated by management and business needs

·       Travel to multiple facilities may be required

·       May be required to lift, push or pull materials weighing up to twenty (20) pounds

·       May be required to sit and review information on a computer screen for long periods of time

·       May require repetitive motions of the hands and wrists related to writing and typing at an electronic keyboard

·       Corporate/satellite office role
