Job Summary

The Business Systems Analyst I (BSA I) assists management by gathering and analyzing production data to create actionable Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in web interfaces. This position works with management to identify non-optimal business processes and gather empirical data for analysis, modeling and KPI creation. The BSA I is further responsible for implementing actionable KPIs in existing software.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work closely with management to prioritize business and information needs.
  • Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources.
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
  • Summarize project findings and provide ongoing reports.
  • Generate easy-to-understand KPIs for management.
  • Design, code, and maintain KPI interfaces to facilitate access to and maximize usability of production data.

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering or related field.
  • 5 years of progressive experience in a relevant professional capacity.
  • Experience in project management, business process analysis or related.
  • Background in quantitative data analysis and computer science.
  • Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing large datasets.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access.
  • Strong organizational, time management, collaboration, verbal and written communication skills.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in business or related field.
  • Prior experience as a Business Systems Analyst.
  • Specialized knowledge in business areas such as Finance, Supply Chain, Marketing, Sales, Distribution, Manufacturing, Electronic Commerce or Web Implementations.
  • Knowledge or experience with database design, Business Intelligence or AI/RFID.
  • Proficiency in SQL, VBA, Program R, statistical software, Microsoft SharePoint, PowerBI or PowerApps D365.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish.

 

Physical Requirements

The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
