Description

The Logistics Analyst coordinates freight, supply and production logistics and creates daily shipping and receiving schedules to maximize efficiency. Updates Warehouse staff regarding order changes and ensures constant, clear communication with customer service, warehouse and carriers. The Logistics Analyst generates daily reports, supports freight claim investigations and resolutions and evaluates and identifies methods and procedures to optimize and streamline logistics processes.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Track and monitor supply and delivery data.
  • Perform data analysis to identify trends and maximize efficiency opportunities.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure Warehouse meets optimal supply and demand needs.
  • Process and review vendor invoices and freight claims to ensure cost efficiency.
  • Maintain communication with staff and with external venders including carriers and brokers.
  • Respond to logistics needs from Customer Service department.
  • Coordinate and communicate logistics details daily with customer service Warehouse, and carriers
  • Ship depart orders and identify and correct any issues.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to existing or planned logistics processes.
  • Provide Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) support for data transactions.
  • Maintain logistics records in accordance with company policies.

 

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 2 years’ administrative and/or logistics experience.
  • Advanced data entry and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication, organization, time management and collaboration skills.
  • Proven ability to identify problems, review information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects and priorities with high attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of principles and methods for moving goods by air, rail, sea or road.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, Outlook and SharePoint.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree or professional certification in a relevant field.
  • Prior Warehouse and/or manufacturing industry experience.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish.

 

Physical Requirements

The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
