Position at San Manuel Band of Mission Indians

Under the direction of the Surveillance Systems Supervisor, the Surveillance Systems Administrator is responsible for the repairing, maintaining, commissioning and decommissioning of Surveillance Department systems. To include but not limited to; documenting, installing, programming, configuring, relocating, cleaning, troubleshooting, and testing. Also, ensures the surveillance system is operating optimally and within regulatory guidelines at all times.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Participates and ensures the quality of operations in the Surveillance Technical Division of the Surveillance Department in communicating with Surveillance department team members.
  • Installs surveillance equipment such as wiring, PC clients, peripherals, servers, storage equipment, racks, and chassis as well as connectors and terminals.
  • Maintains through diagnostic process and troubleshooting the equipment of the surveillance system.
  • Operates tools including, but not limited to, ladders, power tools and various hand tools.
  • Participates in the development and implementation of key strategies, best practice techniques and tactics to ensure system optimization.
  • Assists in planning, execution, and the management of projects. Negotiates and meets deadlines in a dynamic environment with changing priorities.
  • Assists in the organization and distribution of the workflow of Technical staff; reviews reports from personnel and provides reports to the Surveillance Systems Supervisor or as directed.
  • Researches surveillance technology and makes recommendations on enhancements to ensure efficient and cost-effective surveillance systems operation.
  • Provides testimony as a subject matter expert in Gaming Commission hearings, Tribal Court, or Court of Law.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of Tribal Gaming Commission internal controls, casino policies and procedures, and all federal, state, and tribal regulations pertaining to the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians and its casino operations.

  • Maintains a working knowledge of all games offered by the casino.
    • Shares knowledge and trends of surveillance and information technology best practices with team members to continuously develop and enhance personal and team capabilities.
    • Is "on-call" and responsible for technical support in response to business needs on a 24 hour 7 day a week basis.
    • Perform other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department.


    Education/Experience/Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field preferred.
    • Minimum three (3) years Surveillance Technology, Information Technology or related experience required.
    • Minimum five (5) years Surveillance Technology, Information Technology or related experience preferred.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook is required.
    • Experience with VMWare, SQL and Active Directory preferred.
    • Equivalent combination of education and progressive, relevant and direct experience may be considered in lieu of minimum educational/experience requirements indicated above.

     

    Certificates/Licenses/Registrations

    • At the discretion of the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission you may be required to obtain and maintain a gaming license.
    • CompTIA (various), MCSE, CCNA, related, or combination of, certification preferred.
    • Vocational/Technical/Business certification in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field required.
