Position at San Manuel Casino

Under the direction of the Supervisor, the Beverage Service Lead will assist with all Front of House (FOH) responsibilities.  They will enforce the responsible sale and service of alcoholic beverages including implementing identification policies and alerting management of any problems with guest intoxication.  They will also be responsible for Point of Sale transactions and ensuring compliance with all organizational policies.  

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Observes customer levels of intoxication at FOH bars and ensures that all guests have a safe and favorable experience
  • Performs Point of Sale transactions such as voids and credit card purchases
  • Monitors inventory levels to ensure sufficient product availability
  • Maintains visual presence at the FOH bars at all times; answers questions and diffuses situations as needed
  • Surveys all questionable identification and takes appropriate and necessary action
  • Executes product spot check compliance and inventory with Supervisors
  • Monitors efficiency of bar layout and employee productivity
  • Secures inventory in the bars when they are left unattended by staff
  • Assists with training new Cocktail Servers, Bartenders, Beverage Utility Clerks, Beverage Cart Servers and Bar Backs
  • Performs bartending and serving functions as necessary
  • Prepares bar assignments for all bar personnel during their assigned shift
  • Tracks and covers the floor during employee breaks
  • Offers feedback to Supervisors for employee reviews
  • Responds to guest complaints; alerts Supervisors of any urgent guest-related matters including complaints or over intoxication
  • Assists Supervisor with documenting alcohol related incidents
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities

The Beverage Service Lead will be responsible for the functional supervision of the Bartenders, Cocktail Servers, Beverage Utility Clerks, Cart Servers and Bar Backs.

Education/experience

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a bar setting as a Bartender, Bar Back, Cocktail Server or Bar Manager required
  • Experience working with InfoGenesis a plus
  • Employee must have experience demonstrating the utmost discretion and confidentiality as they will have access to private information such as Social Security Numbers, credit cards, personal data or financial data from colleagues, personnel or customers

Certificates/Licenses/Registrations

  • Under the discretion of the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission you may be required to obtain and maintain a Gaming License issued by the San Manuel Gaming Commission.
  • Must have current T.I.P.S Certification
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a current Food Handlers Card
