Job title: DEPUTY PLANT MANAGER (MANUFACTURING)
Level: Managerial   
Location: Johor Bahru / Penang / Vietnam / Taiwan / Singapore
Reporting to: Global Operations Director in New Albany, Indiana, United States of America   
Summary/Objective
Assist and take on Plant Manager’s role when Plant Manager is absent, guide the corporation in maintaining and improving its competitive position. Coordinates activities between departments to achieve require and consistent results. Position will be rotated every 2-3 years from one location to another.
Essential Functions/ Responsibilities.
  1. Directs the company’s Operations’ activities include production, quality, technical, logistic, trade compliance toward the accomplishment of corporate objectives.
  2. Coordinate Operations’ activities through the planning with departmental managers to insure the total manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  3. Coordinates communication and activities between the “mother” facility and satellite locations with regards to Operations’ activities.  
  4. Directs the manufacture of all company products at lowest cost consistent with established specifications as to quality and quantity.     
  5. Any other job-related duties as assigned by management. 
  6. Adheres to all Samtec Quality Principles and actions.

Required Experience 
  1. 10+ years in related / similar position
  2. Willingness to relocate as this position is on a rotation basis
Preferred Education:
  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing / related technical or equivalent experience.
