Summary/Objective:  The Regional Distribution Manager will be responsible for maintaining and growing business through franchised Distribution partners.
 Essential Functions/ Responsibilities:
  1. Develop strategy with Distribution Directors that aligns with branch support needs.
  2. Work as intermediate facilitator between corporate and branch to ensure key strategies are executed top to bottom.
  3. Identify key target accounts within industries to partner on.
  4. Identify applications that overlap with Samtec’s product/market areas of focus.
  5. Regular branch visits to establish relationships
  6. Application and quote review to close business
  7. Coordinate training on Samtec systems and products
  8. Joint calls with distributors and EMS/CM
  9. Communication with MDMs on new customer opportunities
  10. Review and potentially quote design registrations within the region

Required Experience 
  1. 3+ Years of OEM sales experience or Distribution background in a technical industry is required.
  2. Component sales experience in a technical industry is required.
  3. Strong relationship building and interpersonal skills for both internal and external customer base.
  4. Be able to demonstrate exceptional follow-up skills to achieve sales growth.
  5. A willingness to travel at least 50% of the time is required.
