Job Summary
The Manufacturing Engineer Intern will support the engineering team in the design, development, and implementation of manufacturing tooling, fixtures, and automation equipment. This role provides hands-on experience in mechanical design, manufacturing processes, project coordination, and production support within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. It is ideal for senior students or recent graduates pursuing an engineering-related degree.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in designing tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing equipment using CAD software such as SolidWorks
- Support automation and manufacturing improvement projects for production processes
- Help create and update engineering drawings, documentation, and project records
- Participate in equipment testing, troubleshooting, and process validation activities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Manufacturing, Process, Quality, and Production Engineering
- Assist in tracking project timelines, design changes, and project deliverables
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, and efficiency
- Help evaluate manufacturing concepts, materials, and tooling solutions for new projects
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or related field
- Basic knowledge of mechanical design and manufacturing processes
- Familiarity with CAD software (SolidWorks preferred)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills
- Detail-oriented, organized, and eager to learn in a hands-on engineering environment
