Job Title: LPM Engineering Technician

 

Summary/Objective: The Low Pressure Molding (LPM) Engineering Technician is responsible for providing technical support on new and existing HDR molding projects globally. 

 
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
  • Review, document and analyze HDR low pressure molding processes to standardize globally, evaluate scrap and help make improvements as needed.  审查,记录和分析HDR低压成型工艺以实现全球标准化,评估废料并根据需要进行改进。 
  • Participate with the mold qualification process, assisting during the basic function tests and leading the debug and qualification pieces for the Mold Tooling group.  This includes mold changeover, training others, etc to help accelerate TTM for new & duplicate tooling.  参与模具确认过程,协助基本功能测试,领导模具组的调试和确认工作。这包括换模,培训其他人等,以帮助加快新模具和重复模具的TTM

  • Documentation related to tooling, shipping, asset management, etc. 与工具、运输、资产管理等相关的文档。 
  • Support LPM Engineer in any other activities and R&D projects. 支持LPM工程师的其他活动和研发项目 
  • Work directly with purchasing, quality, product engineering, manufacturing engineering, test engineering, process engineering, and other necessary groups as a cross functional team to develop products/solutions. 作为一个跨职能团队,直接与采购,质量,产品工程,制造工程,测试工程,工艺工程和其他必要的团队合作开发产品/解决方案。

  • Lifting Requirements: Light work – Must be able to exert up to 20 pounds of force frequently, from floor to waist. Must be capable of standing and/or sitting for more than 180 minutes straight, and not suffering from any sensory deprivation and/or paralysis of the limbs.
  • Hazards and Atmospheric Conditions: Must adhere to all department safety rules and regulations.
 
Required Experience/Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience with Process & LPM knowledge within HDR
  • Must possess good communication skills in English – written and verbal
  • Excellent problem solving, investigation skills, detail oriented
  • Proficient is MS Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook)
 
Preferred Experience/Education:
  • 2+ years technical experience in plastics molding (injection, extrusion, etc) or tool making
  • Working knowledge of scientific injection molding principles
  • Working knowledge of steel machining techniques
  • Willing to travel internationally
