JOB DESCRIPTION
Job title:  GCT Production Operator
Reports to:  GCT Supervisor
Shift: 12 Hour Night Shift; Sunday – Tuesday or Wednesday – Friday, 6pm to 6am
Summary/Objective:  Responsible for the manufacturing of GCT products in an ISO7 Cleanroom.  This includes but is not limited to operating manual or automatic toolsets, quality checks and inspections, and having a complete working knowledge of the operation of all machines, equipment, measurement devices, and tooling within their assigned area.
Essential Functions/ Responsibilities:
  • Understand and abide by all safety/compliance standards set by assigned area.
  • Comply to industry standard Cleanroom protocols such as:  ISO 7/8 or Class 10,000.  This includes wearing: Head-Net, Face-Net, Smock, Gloves and Booties during Production Operations. 
  • Have ability to understanding work instructions that apply to the area.  The area is a Wafer Fabrication work cell. 
  • Read, comprehend and be able to build orders according to information/specifications found on prints, and shop order instructions.
  • The ability to load recipes onto equipment, execute the operations, monitor toolset operations, and perform daily Start-Up / Shut-Down procedures. 
    • Toolsets Include:  Screen Printers, Laser, Ovens, Furnace, Samtec Tool Automation, PVD, Lithography, CMP, Plating Baths and Measurement Equipment as well as other related inspection equipment. 
  • Become familiar with all equipment and tooling in your assigned area and understand how and why it is used in the assembly process.
  • Quality mindset and high attention to details.
  • Communicate effectively with co-workers (both written and verbal).
  • Maintain process workflow in a lean manufacturing environment and keep a clean and organized workspace.

Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Physical Requirements: Must have 20/40 correctable vision, capable of standing and/or sitting for more than 180 minutes straight, and not suffering from any sensory deprivation and/or paralysis of the limbs.
  • Must have good dexterity and hand eye coordination.
  • Lifting Requirements: Medium work – Lift up to 50 pounds, occasionally.
  • Hazards and Atmospheric Conditions: Must be willing to adhere to all department safety rules and regulations.
  • Must have patience with new, tedious processes and have the creative mind to suggest ideas for improved processes and tooling.
  • Must be a self-starter with strong teamwork skills.
Preferred Experience:
  • One Year of experience in a manufacturing setting.
Training required
  • On the job training as appropriate.
