Sustaining Product Engineer (Cable)

- Support multiple business groups, acting as liaison between production floor, product development, machine development, process, QA, and operational groups.
- Production troubleshooting, root cause analysis, documentation, etc.
- Identify value and reduce waste using Lean tools & methodology.
- Value identification, value stream mapping, standard work, etc.
- Maintain existing improvements via process monitoring, control plans, statistical process control.
- Identify and support product OEE improvement projects through evaluation of existing performance data using DMAIC/Six Sigma tools & methodology.
- Capability indices, MSA, C&E, process mapping, FMEA, etc.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously with cross-functional teams via project charters, work breakdown structure, stakeholder reviews, to meet business goals on target timelines.
- Enable continuous improvement through hands-on troubleshooting, Gemba walks, and ongoing collaboration with subject matter experts.
- Developing inputs for technical manufacturing documentation.
- Collecting & analyzing data and reporting results from investigations.
- Looking over Root cause analysis and provide inputs for short/long term corrective actions.
- Create/execute engineering trial plans for product/process development activities.
- Effective use of Office365 including Outlook, Excel, PPT, SharePoint, etc.
- Work effectively with different levels and individuals inside and outside of the organization.
- Must be able to do Hands-on project activities.
- Independent worker and team player.
- Identify and lead product yield improvement projects through evaluation of existing performance.
- Any other duties and responsibilities as directed by the manager.
- 2+ years of experience with continuous manufacturing processes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Document process capabilities meeting requirements.
- Sustaining product or process optimizations.
- Process monitoring and capability reporting.
- Statistical analysis (Minitab or similar).
- Lean Six Sigma experience (Green Belt or similar )
- Developing and implementing Lean Systems and Standard Work practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent education and experience.
