Job Title: DATA SCIENCE Manager
 
Summary/Objective:  Data Science Manager will be responsible for supporting and developing advanced analytics and AI/ML needs. Their primary duties include researching business processes and creating data assets and/or processes that transform data into actionable opportunities. This role offers the opportunity to leverage data analytics skills to solve complex business problems and drive data-guided decision making. This role will also manage other Data Science team members directly.
 
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
  1. Connecting dots and communicate gaps up stream to supporting teams, as well as downstream to consumers.
  2. Assisting with corporate wide reporting and dashboard needs.
  3. Designing and implementing machine learning algorithms and statistical models to solve critical business problems.
  4. Participating in data collection and data preprocessing activities.
  5. Analyzing large, complex datasets to reveal underlying patterns, correlations, and trends.
  6. Assisting in creating clear and comprehensive reports and presentations for business use.
  7. Working with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and provide analytical solutions.
  8. Keeping up-to-date with the latest technology trends

Required Experience:
  1. 5+ years’ experience in a Data Science Role; preferably in sales, marketing, or manufacturing. Connector Manufacturing, Operations, Sales, or Marketing experience is desired.
  2. Proven leadership skills and ability to work independently.
  3. Excellent communication skills and demonstrated problem-solving ability.
  4. Detail oriented, excellent problem solving, multi-tasking, and investigation skills.
  5. Excellent interpersonal skills in relating to both internal and external customers.
  6. Proficient is MS Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook).
  7. Extensive experience in Redshift or SQL, Redshift is preferred.
  8. Extensive experience in production quality Python or R, Python is preferred.
  9. Product, Process, Tooling, and alternative manufacturing method knowledge preferred.
 
Preferred Education:
  1. Bachelor's degree or higher in Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  2. Experience can be substituted for educational requirements
