Co-Op Internship – Electrical Engineering (Wilsonville, Oregon)
Begins Spring/Summer 2025
The local student intern must be able to work on site at the Wilsonville, OR facility for a minimum of 20 hours per week while in school junior/senior years, during the hours of M-F, 8am-5pm. Internship will provide daily interface with our Signal Integrity engineering group in order to gain exposure and experience directly applicable to our roles. The position will be responsible for completing assigned projects, building trust within team members, maintaining customer focus, as well as initiating and following up on actions taken.
The ideal candidate for this position will have the ability to work with and take direction from senior engineers, be creative, passionate, and resourceful while taking initiative to explore new solutions to the issues they are presented with.
The student will be exposed to and expected to learn the basics in the many different technologies used at Samtec. Pay is $22/hr and Samtec supports up to $10k in tuition assistance per year. No other benefits are provided.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Availability to work a minimum of 20 hours per week during regular business hours on site (8am-5pm) during the 1-2 year time prior to graduation. More time during summer is desired.
- Samtec is an ITAR facility and all applicants must be eligible to work in the U.S. on an unrestricted basis.
