Summary/Objective: The Regional Distribution Manager will be responsible for maintaining and growing business through franchised Distribution partners.
Essential Functions/ Responsibilities:
- Develop strategy with Distribution Directors that aligns with branch support needs.
- Work as intermediate facilitator between corporate and branch to ensure key strategies are executed top to bottom.
- Identify key target accounts within industries to partner on.
- Identify applications that overlap with Samtec’s product/market areas of focus.
- Regular branch visits to establish relationships
- Application and quote review to close business
- Coordinate training on Samtec systems and products
- Joint calls with distributors and EMS/CM
- Communication with MDMs on new customer opportunities
- Review and potentially quote design registrations within the region

Required Experience
- 3+ Years of OEM sales experience or Distribution background in a technical industry is required.
- Component sales experience in a technical industry is required.
- Strong relationship building and interpersonal skills for both internal and external customer base.
- Be able to demonstrate exceptional follow-up skills to achieve sales growth.
- A willingness to travel at least 50% of the time is required.
