** This position will be based at Samtec Headquarters in New Albany, IN **
- Yield analysis of Glass Core Technology products
- Support yield investigations from initial discovery to root cause failure analysis with data analytics
- Use production data and production system data to investigate tool, process step, and operator dependencies on yields and excursions.
- Perform large dataset / AI investigations to identify promising “shift left” screens and optimizations that could increase yields and catch fallout earlier in the process.
- Data extraction, summarization, prediction, correlation, and regression analysis.
- Report yield results to cross-functional teams with varying knowledge base
- Develop dashboards, tools, methods, and resources to ensure higher yields
- Build positive working relationships with internal partners such as Operations, Product, Process, Test, Quality, and Failure Analysis as appropriate
- Experience with data extraction, manipulation, and storage
- Understanding of statistics, process control, and reliability standards (Telcordia, JEDEC, MIL)
- Demonstrated hands on experience in assembly process flow is required as is an understanding of the equipment and materials that are used in the industry.
- Expertise in minitab/SAS-JMP/similar data analysis package is desired.
- BS or greater in Engineering, Materials, Statistics or the Physical Sciences or similar field.
