Incoming Inspector
Description
Job Title: INCOMING INSPECTOR
Summary/Objective: The Incoming Inspector is responsible for inspection of advanced products upon receipt from Samtec’s suppliers and to ensure that they meet product specification drawing using a variety of test methods/instruments.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
- Inspect, test, and/or measure materials, products, installations, or work for conformance to specifications. (True position, cross sectioning)
- Read and interpret complex blueprints for advanced products (ex. Xcede, Firefly, RF), supplier datasheets, manuals, or other materials to determine specifications, inspection and testing procedures required.
- Disposition materials with details regarding accept/reject status.
- Use various systems to record inspection measurements and record product non-conformances.

Required/Preferred Experience:
- Must have one year of previous inspection experience.
- Must be computer literate and have a working knowledge of Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Must have experience with Samtec systems such as: Lablynx, QP Suite, GD&T, Print Vu, etc.
- Experience with and comprehension of component tooling drawings.
- Lifting Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds from floor to waist.
- Minimum Score of 50 on the Mechanical Aptitude Test.
- Must be able to sit/stand for at least 90 consecutive minutes.
Education: High school diploma or GED required.
Training Required: On the job training as appropriate.
