ESG Inspector
Description
Summary/Objective: The ESG Inspector is responsible for the evaluation (by dimensional or visual inspection) of components and assemblies submitted by engineering.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
1. Measure components and assemblies according to the provided specifications
2. Review test results to help ensure accurate reporting.
3. Understanding/interpretation of product drawings to determine proper inspection methods, tolerances and GD&T
4. Ensure compliance to Samtec inspection standards.
5. Collaborate with product engineers on inspection results

Required Experience:
1. Must have 20/40 correctable vision.
2. Lifting Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds from floor to waist.
3. Must be able to sit for more than 90 consecutive minutes (up to a full shift), and not suffer from any sensory deprivation and/or paralysis of the limbs.
4. Hazards and Atmospheric Conditions: Must be willing to adhere to department safety rules and regulations.
Education:
1. High school diploma or GED required.
Training Required:
1. On the job training as appropriate.
