OVERVIEW & IMPACT 

Samsung Semiconductor, Inc. is looking for passionate interns to work on computational photography. We are part of a team that designs Exynos ModAP chipsets powering various mobile devices and cars. The team is developing computational imaging algorithms and exciting new imaging technologies for mobile devices. The duty includes designing new algorithms, architectures, and systems for image processing.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Develop novel computational imaging algorithms (3D reconstruction, 3D photography, view synthesis, disparity estimation, multi-camera/multi-frame fusion, etc.) for new camera features
  • Improve existing algorithms (e.g., denoising/demosaicking/sharpening)
  • Prototype algorithms on Exynos to bring them to life and generate data using Unity3D simulator
  • Produce key intellectual property and research papers in the area of computational photography

 

REQUIRED SKILLS 

  • Expertise in image and video processing, computational photography, computer vision, machine learning and neural networks
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • C/C++, Python, and/or MATLAB coding skills with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow
  • D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering
