Job Description:

Samsung is seeking an experienced and dynamic leader to oversee the Building Operations of our multiple locations. This position is instrumental to translating the company culture into physical environments where our talented employees can creatively do what they do best. This individual will oversee a department of 14 employees responsible for overseeing our real estate, building maintenance, Cafeteria Management, Emergency Health and Safety, and physical security for our main office as well as over a dozen remote US field offices. The ideal candidate has a proven track record and is a strong team leader with a strategic mindset able to work effectively across all business groups.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Serve as an effective and visible leadership figure for the department.
  • Provide the direction, set priorities, and actively coach and develop staff to meet organization goals
  • Regularly assess each office environment to proactively address issues and recommend improvements
  • Establish policies, procedures, best practices, and standards for effective and efficient department operating
  • Takes an active role in the planning and execution of special events and campus improvement initiatives
  • Ensures compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local municipal laws, regulations, rules, and directives.
  • Direct the day-to-day operations of the Facilities team
  • Prepare annual capital expenditure plans to address business growth and cultural improvements
  • Champions a customer service mindset and a focus on optimal work environments
  • Presents reports and plans regularly as a member of the senior leadership team.
  • Cultivates strong working relationships within the team and with other key stakeholders
  • Oversee emergency preparedness, disaster recovery, inspections, compliance, and physical safety
  • Maintain operating budgets and partner closely with Finance on capital expenditures


  • Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of experience and at least 5 years in a people management capacity
  • Advanced project management skills with the demonstrated ability to deliver multiple projects on time/on budget with competing priorities
  • Strong leadership skills and demonstrated ability to maximize the talents of team members
  • Passionate about continuous improvement and implementing best practices
  • Working knowledge of trades. Some travel to US offices required.
  • Effective communicator able to break down complex information into easy to understand key messages
  • Effective at prioritization and managing workload priorities for a team
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and financial-management skills
  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
