We are currently searching for a highly-talented and motivated person to join our growing Marketing Communications team as a Senior Manager, Events. The ideal candidate will be deadline driven and responsible for organizing, managing, and delivering a wide range of external and internal events at an exceptional level. 


The primary focus of this role is to plan, manage, recommend, collaborate, and coordinate between business divisions and marketing teams to deliver experiential industry and employee events whether virtual, physical, or hybrid. You will interface with the broader marketing, product, and internal support teams to ensure both our external and internal events reflect our company’s strategy and vision. This role will also build relationships and collaborate with marketing managers, product managers, solutions architects, and business developers to help create unique content showcases for events. Critical functions of the role include managing the event road map and content development process from start to finish as well as collaborating with the communications and design teams to ensure a true partnership and successful execution of all aspects of the event.

  • Industry Events: Work with sales & marketing teams to identify and develop customized event plans; organize and execute all details
  • Coordinate with headquarter teams to develop and implement event plans, objectives, and collateral for Memory, Foundry, S.LSI, R&D events and trade-shows.
  • Company Events: Work with MarCom and support teams for successful execution of all corporate events. (Town Halls, Company Picnics, Holiday Events)
  • Work with internal stakeholders and divisions to execute internal events and employee engagement programs
  • Recommend event programs and negotiate event sponsorship and marketing opportunities.
  • Manage suppliers and other contributors (design firms, exhibit display, AV, special event planners, suppliers, logistics) through effective project management and collaboration, to ensure exceptional levels of execution of all assigned deliverables 
  • Event Promotion: partner with communication and design teams to help develop creative and promotion content for events.
  • Develop and maintain budgets for all industry trade shows and company events.
  • Produce videos to showcase internal and external events  
  • Evaluate event performance, including post event analysis, de-briefs and wrap-up reports
  • Liaising with key stakeholders across Samsung Semiconductor, Inc. including hosting regular progress and tracking meetings with event committees
  • Other special corporate events or meeting related projects as assigned



  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or related field required
  • Minimum 8 years experience with event management and operations, preferably within the semiconductor or high-tech industry
  • Extensive knowledge in managing events from conception to completion, including complex logistics, venue liaison, production, speaker sourcing, budget management and onsite execution
  • Experience working in a fast-paced events environment with track record of owning and delivering concurrent events from conception to successful completion
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, including ability to present and effectively interact with all levels (including senior executives).
  • The ability to plan, manage projects, and prioritize conflicting deadlines to deal with changing requirements and environment
  • Exceptional project management, and time management skills – highly organized, detail focused, results-driven, and accountable with the ability to handle high pressure last-minute, urgent requests
  • Excellent budgeting, negotiation and vendor management skills with ability to manage small to large scale event programs
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills; experience developing strong working relationships with internal partners, third party vendors, and customers
  • Ability to interface seamlessly with a global, multicultural, and highly technical team  
  • Demonstrate strong understanding of various digital and virtual event technologies and applicability to different programs.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office with advanced skills in PowerPoint and Excel
  • High energy, outgoing, teammate with a “can do” personality. Ability to thrive in a changing environment.
  • Must be flexible with ability to travel to event locations as required (including weekends where needed) specific to each assigned event
