Senior Director, Data Center Business Development

We are looking for a Sr. Director, Data Center Business Development to join our team in San Jose, CA.  In this role, you will be responsible for promoting System LSI’s semiconductor products and capabilities to Data Center customers.  You will help to explore new business opportunities and drive design-in activities with key strategic data center customers.

Responsibilities:
  • Business Development - Cultivate an opportunity pipeline of new customers by developing and maintaining relationships with all levels of key customers, ecosystem partners, and sales channels
  • Planning – Identify key data center customer product and technology requirements.  Evangelize customer requirements with SLSI marketing, planning, and engineering stakeholders.  Ensure alignment of data center customer requirements and SLSI product roadmap
  • Strategy - Research current and future data center customer and market segment trends.  Develop and implement strategic plans for approaching new business opportunities, building internal consensus and partner relationships

Required Qualifications:
  • MS or PHD in Electrical Engineering (or related engineering discipline
  • 15 years of Business Development, Product Development or Product Management experience in Data Center architecture, hardware or software, networking or semiconductors
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Deep Learning (DL) applications and uses cases, architectures, algorithms, frameworks, head node, and hardware accelerators
  • Knowledge of Data Center computer architectures including CPU, GPU, FPGA, and ASIC. 
  • Demonstrated understanding of data center memory and storage, including SSD’s.  Understanding of Data Center power management.
  • Demonstrated ability to comprehend and consider both technical & business information.  Exhibit strong executive presentation skills with the ability to influence
  • Understanding of key data center components and subsystems including GPU, AI hardware accelerators, SSD, Smart NIC, security and power management
  • Demonstrated ability to develop new business opportunities and drive design-in activities with key strategic data center customers
  • Must be able to develop excellent strategic relationships with customer R&D and product team leaders
Preferred Qualifications: 
  • 5 years of experience in the semiconductor industry
  • 5 years of experience in AI/DL architecture or development
