JOB TITLE:  Customer Quality Manager

OVERVIEW & IMPACT:

Samsung Device Solutions America is seeking a motivated Customer Quality Manager for our San Jose, CA office location.

In this role you will be responsible for addressing all quality issues mainly after post qualification, occasionally during the qualification window, and providing technical support when requested from customer.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide excellent Storage component, SSD, HDD, and DRAM Quality and problem management for our core customers in DC and regional customers in San Jose, and their ODMs in the U.S. and China.  Arrange customer meetings and provide highly consistent support.
  • Organize technical communication in order to maximize problem solving and help set up verification procedures and conditions to lessen issue repetition and provide improvements and manage rework activity when necessary
  • Collect data and escalate urgent issues to management level
  • Manage quality collaboration with customers and/or HQ and initiate quality collaboration for customers when necessary.
  • Support customers per their request during Factory audits to get production qualified
  • Collect customer satisfaction indexes for continuous quality and service improvements.
  • Prepare basic presentations and proposals as needed.  Consult with CS/QA engineers in Korea when requested for project management of customized products and solutions
  • Document and research new technology standards and product trends in collaboration with Korea, review and analyze quality trends and carry out proper action
  • Provide feedback for improvement based on DPPM, FA TAT analysis results and for additional customer response
  • Set up OSV tool to minimize false RMA returns and failure returns to Samsung in order to facilitate precise Failure Analysis 
  • PCN/FCN (Process or FW change notification) distribution and management for customer approval

 

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Minimum Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related engineering degree.
  • 5 years of customer negotiations experience required.
  • Experience in storage component technology SSD, HDD & DRAM, highly preferred
  • CRE, CQE preferred
  • Proficient with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Domestic and international travel to customer sites as needed
