Job Title: Sr. Manager, SOC Business Development

We are looking for a Sr. Manager, SOC Business Development to join our team in San Jose, CA.  In this role, you will be responsible for promoting System LSI’s semiconductor products, including application processors and modem to customers. You will help to explore new business opportunities and drive design-in and design-win activities with key strategic customers.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Business Development - Cultivate an opportunity pipeline of new customers by developing and maintaining relationships with all levels of key customers, ecosystem partners, and sales channels
  • Planning – Identify key customer product and technology requirements.  Evangelize customer requirements with SLSI marketing, planning, and engineering stakeholders.  Ensure alignment of customer requirements and SLSI product roadmap
  • Strategy - Research current and future customer and market segment trends.  Develop and implement strategic plans for approaching new business opportunities, building internal consensus and partner relationship

Required SKils:
  • MS or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering (or related engineering discipline)
  • 8+ years of Business Development, Product Development or Product Management experience in semiconductors.

  • Experience across a variety of markets, such as mobile handsets, smart speakers, smart home, NB-IOT, tablets, notebooks, camera systems, drones, wearables, embedded applications, etc.
  • Mobile SoC architecture and power management background. Experience with ARM-based SoCs, system architecture, platform HW/SW, Modem, and Wi-Fi Connectivity is highly desirable.
  • Understanding of various mobile processors IP blocks and sub-systems, e.g. Display, Camera/ISP, etc.

  • Understanding entire silicon design and manufacturing flow. Ability to guide the customer to custom silicon-based on standard silicon offerings.

  • Demonstrated ability to comprehend and consider both technical & business information. Exhibit strong executive presentation skills with the ability to influence.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop new business opportunities and drive design-in activities with key strategic customers.

  • Must be able to develop excellent strategic relationships with customer R&D and product team leaders

  • Domestic and international travel will be required
Preferred Skills:
  • 5 years of experience with US OEMs, US network carriers
  • 5 years of experience in SOC architecture or chip development
