General Position Summary
Responsible for sales activities within assigned geographic territory, coordinating all sales-related functions for Sakura Finetek products, including demonstrations, installations, customer training, and management of field distributor relationships.
 
Essential Job Functions 
Sales Activities
  • Ensures that sales and promotional plans prepared by Sales and Marketing are enacted at the field level with customers and distribution sales personnel.
  • Ensures that customers requesting demonstrations on any of Sakura products or Instrument Systems are served in a timely fashion.
  • Provides product training to distributor sales personnel using sales meetings or one-on-one training.
  • Installs Sakura Finetek instruments and trains customers on proper operation and maintenance.
  • Promptly follow up leads to maximize business opportunities and customer engagement. Develops efficient and cost-effective customer call routes within the assigned territory.
  • Coordinates with distributors, provides direct sale products, and ensures the timely delivery of customer quotes and bid responses.
  • Applies a broad knowledge of all company products, policies and procedures to maximize sales efforts and close sales.
  • Implements sales plans and special promotions in the achievement of sales goals.
Information Management & Reporting Activities
  • Routinely uses the Company’s sales automation system that is mandated and supported by the Company.
  • Maintain accurate customer account records and detailed information for each account within the territory to ensure smooth transfer of accounts in the event of territorial realignments or role.
  • Using the sales automation system, monitors competitive information and reports activities to Company management.
  • Prepares a variety of reports such as sales forecasts, sales targets and results, surveys, research information asrequested by Company management.
  • Regularly communicate with internal teams, external stakeholders, and affiliated personnel to provide key updates and information on sales and marketing activities.
Other Activities
  • Coordinate and oversee continuous improvement of departmental workflows, research practices, educational programs, and administrative procedures.
  • Attends local, regional and national exhibits and seminars when requested by Company management.
  • Maintain expense control in alignment with company policies, established guidelines, and budget parameters set by management.
  • Identify and engage customers who may be willing to publish third-party papers on behalf of the company, as directed by management.
  • Properly maintains company property such as demo equipment, exhibit materials, etc.
  • Perform administrative tasks with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Carry out special projects and perform other assigned duties as needed.   
  • Foster strong communication and collaboration with internal teams and external customers to ensure alignment and satisfaction.
Essential Job Requirements 
Education 
  • Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent experience.
  • Business or laboratory background preferred.
 
Experience & Minimum Qualifications 
  • 3 years of previous sales or equivalent experience required.
  • Knowledge of laboratory medicine or science background preferred. 
  • Previous experience in related field preferred. 
  • Must maintain permanent residence within the assigned geographical territory.
  • Must hold a valid REAL ID or a valid Driver License and a valid US Passport. 
Physical Requirements & Working Environment 
  • Ability to travel to other companies and to customer locations on a regular basis; travel may be required up to 50% of the time.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and analyze information from both printed materials and computer screens.
  • Ability to manage and respond effectively to multiple and competing work demands.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, with individuals and groups.
  • Ability to engage in verbal communication in person and by telephone.
  • Ability to actively listen, demonstrate understanding, and contribute to problem-solving discussions
  • Ability to safely move and handle demo equipment, with or without reasonable accommodation and with assistance when required.
  • Ability to quickly learn and effectively retain knowledge of product features, customer needs, and product benefits.
  • Ability to work in and observe laboratory environments, which may include exposure to conditions that some individuals could find sensitive or distressing.
