Serving Maryland and the Greater Washington D.C. area, SageCor Solutions (SageCor) is a growing company bringing complete engineering services and true full lifecycle System Engineering services to areas requiring (or desiring) nationally-recognized expertise in high performance computing, large data analytics and cutting edge information technologies.
Active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph required.
Responsibilities:
• Develop, maintain, and enhance web applications using JavaScript frameworks
• Implement and optimize backend services and APIs using Java
• Integrate Elasticsearch to support efficient search, indexing, and retrieval
• Collaborate with stakeholders to refine requirements and deliver intuitive user experiences
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
• Monitor application performance and address any issues with availability, scalability, or data accuracy
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automated testing strategies
Required Qualifications:
• Experience with JavaScript (React, Angular, or similar) and Java (Spring Boot or similar)
• Experience integrating and querying Elasticsearch
• Proficiency in RESTful API development and microservice design
• Experience working with JSON, XML, and structured metadata
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Communication and collaboration abilities
Desired Qualifications:
• Familiarity with Kubernetes
• Knowledge of accessibility and 508 compliance standards.
Requirements:
Fourteen (14) years’ experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
