Sales Associate - Full Time

Retail Sales Fort Worth, Texas

Description

This is not just retail. This is retail with purpose.

The Archway is seeking a full-time Store Associate to join the team at Berry Good Buys, our beloved resale store where every donation, every purchase, and every customer interaction help support survivors of domestic violence.

The Opportunity
Berry Good Buys is more than a thrift store. It is a community treasure, a funding engine, and an extension of our mission. The Store Associate plays a critical role in ensuring the store operates smoothly, efficiently, and with exceptional customer service.

From greeting shoppers with warmth to processing donations with care, this role touches nearly every aspect of the store's daily operations. You will:

  • Deliver an outstanding shopping experience for customers, donors, and clients alike
  • Operate the point-of-sale system accurately and efficiently
  • Receive, sort, price, and merchandise donated items
  • Move inventory from the donation area to the sales floor
  • Maintain an organized, welcoming, and well-stocked store
  • Manage donation drop-offs with professionalism and gratitude
  •
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys staying busy, connecting with people, and creating order out of beautiful chaos.

Who You Are
You are the kind of person who notices when a display is crooked and fixes it without being asked. You can ring up a customer, accept a donation, answer a question, and straighten a shelf—all before most people have finished their coffee.

You understand that great customer service is not a bonus feature. It is the job.
You thrive in a fast-paced environment. You can juggle tasks, solve problems, and maintain your composure, even when the donation line suddenly resembles Black Friday.

You are:
  • Honest, trustworthy, and reliable
  • Warm, professional, and genuinely helpful
  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Comfortable with physical work and constant movement
  • Passionate about serving others and supporting meaningful work
You understand that every item donated and every sale contributes to life-changing services for survivors.

What Makes This Different
At The Archway, our work matters deeply. We serve individuals and families navigating some of life's most difficult circumstances, and we do so with compassion, courage, and excellence.

We value team members who are curious, accountable, trustworthy, flexible, and committed to open communication. The work can be challenging, but it is also incredibly meaningful.
And at Berry Good Buys, there is never a dull moment.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • One to three years of retail experience preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Reliable transportation and excellent attendance
  • Strong customer service skills, particularly in high-volume or occasionally stressful situations
  • Sensitivity to the issue of domestic violence

Competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package are offered. Please include your salary expectations when applying.
