POSITION PURPOSE
As a Senior MS Solutions Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, configuration, maintenance, integrations, user adoption, and continuous improvement of SAFE’s overall Microsoft enterprise productivity and collaboration solutions. You will work alongside leadership to develop MS solutions strategy and complete roadmap planning. A Senior Microsoft (MS) Solutions Engineer will also support and mentor lower-level technicians, and engage directly with internal customers, IT, and business partners, providing day-to-day comprehensive support of Microsoft solutions from initial request to fulfillment and resolution.
 
 
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
  • Provide exceptional service to internal customers, including end user training and support, and act as main point of contact for the business when escalated support issues arise.
  • Accurately document all work performed through a ticketing system, including details and outcomes.
  • Oversee requirements gathering, consulting, project planning, design, build, and testing of new and existing Microsoft solutions to meet business needs that support overall business strategies.
  • Ensure accurate and timely resolution of all assigned issues; escalate product bugs or unresolvable cases if necessary; notice trends and report recurring problems.
  • Leads and documents technical design of MS Solutions enterprise-level architecture and integrations processes.
  • Monitor, configure, maintain, integrate, and drive user adoption of the following Microsoft solutions:
    • Strong proficiency with key M365 services: SharePoint Online, Exchange Online, Teams, OneDrive, Power Platform, and Entra ID
    • Hands‑on experience administering M365 tenant settings, security controls, compliance features, and service configurations
    • Solid understanding of Microsoft Entra ID (identity, roles, conditional access, authentication methods)
    • Ability to manage Exchange Online mail flow, policies, distribution groups, and hybrid configurations
    • Experience configuring and supporting Microsoft Teams (policies, governance, lifecycle management)
    • Knowledge of SharePoint On-premises and Online architecture, site administration, permissions, and content lifecycle
    • Familiarity with Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps) for workflow automation and low‑code solutions
    • Microsoft Teams Suite: Teams, Planner, Stream, Forms, Viva
    • SharePoint: On-premises and online, and third-party tools (e.g., web parts, workflow engines, and content migrators)
    • Proficiency with PowerShell for automation, reporting, and bulk administration
    • Web calls to other enterprise applications (e.g. CRM and ITSM)
  • Design, configure, and maintain business process workflows.
  • Ability to manage Exchange Online mail flow, policies, distribution groups, and hybrid configurations
  • Generate and maintain MS solutions operating procedures and dataflow diagrams.
  • Interact with vendor(s) for system and application upgrades and problem resolution.
  • Develop design documentation, project plans and test procedures for the installation and upgrade of hardware and software. Complete other duties, as assigned
  • Ensuring sufficient storage space by performing clean-ups and archiving data.
  • Function as MS Solutions subject matter expert and technical advisor to IT and executive leadership, and business partners.
  • Evaluate and recommend new and emerging technology.
  • Ability and willingness to work off-hours and to be on call for emergencies.
 
 
 
QUALIFICATIONS
 
Education/Certification:
Graduate degree and four years of related experience; or undergraduate degree and five years of related experience; or six or more years of related experience.

Holding one or more of the following certifications is preferred:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Microsoft certifications such as MS-102, SC-300, MS-700, PL-300, PL-400.
  • Experience with hybrid Exchange or hybrid identity environments.
  • Familiarity with Azure services such as Azure Automation, Azure Functions, or Logic Apps.
  • Background in enterprise governance, cloud architecture, or solution design.
 
Required Knowledge:
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 enterprise productivity and collaboration solutions and common third-party application integrations.
