Senior Business Systems Analyst (BSA) - Data & Analytics
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior Business Systems Analyst (BSA) with 8+
years of dedicated experience in data and analytics. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between
complex business challenges and cutting-edge data solutions, driving data-informed decision-making
across the organization. This role requires a deep understanding of data warehousing, business
intelligence (BI) principles, and advanced analytical methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Requirement Elicitation and Management:
o Lead discovery sessions with executive stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts
(SMEs) to define, analyze, and document complex business, functional, and non-
functional requirements for data and analytics initiatives.
o Translate high-level business goals into detailed, clear, and actionable technical
requirements, user stories, and functional specifications for data engineers and
development teams.
Data and Solution Analysis:
o Act as the primary functional expert for enterprise data platforms, data warehouses,
and BI solutions.
o Perform hands-on advanced data analysis and Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA)
using SQL, Python/R, and statistical techniques to identify patterns, trends, and root
causes that inform solution design.
o Develop and maintain data flow diagrams, data lineage documentation, and
conceptual/logical data models, ensuring data governance and quality standards are
met.

Key Responsibilities

relevant, functionally accurate, and aligned with data strategy.
o Oversee the development and enhancement of high-impact data visualizations,
dashboards, and reports using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Qlik Sense, ensuring
they effectively tell a story and drive business action.
o Collaborate with data architecture and engineering teams to design optimal technical
solutions for data integration, transformation, and storage (ETL/ELT).
o Guide the implementation team to ensure the technical solution remains business-
relevant, functionally accurate, and aligned with data strategy.

the solution delivers the expected business value and data accuracy.
o Mentor and guide junior analysts, contributing to the development of best practices
and frameworks within the Business Analysis and Data & Analytics functions.
o Serve as the BSA lead on complex, multi-year projects, managing scope, schedule,
and cost trade-offs in collaboration with Project Managers.
o Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and post-implementation validation, ensuring
the solution delivers the expected business value and data accuracy.
o Mentor and guide junior analysts, contributing to the development of best practices

��️ Required Qualifications & Skills
Experience: 8+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar
role, with a strong focus on data warehousing, Business Intelligence, and advanced analytics
projects.
Technical Proficiency (Mandatory):
o Expert-level SQL proficiency for complex data querying, analysis, and data
validation.

o Familiarity with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is highly
desirable.
o Proficiency in requirements management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Azure
DevOps).

o Demonstrated experience in senior-level stakeholder management and conflict
resolution.
o Proven leadership skills with the ability to drive consensus and organizational
change.
