Position Description:
We are currently seeking a motivated and skilled Mechanic to join our team. This individual will play a critical role in maintaining and servicing a wide range of fleet vehicles and equipment, including diesel/gas trucks, commercial mowers, and two-cycle equipment. Candidates with practical experience in these areas are highly encouraged to apply.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and perform repairs and preventative maintenance on fleet vehicles and equipment
- Perform mechanical work on a variety of assets, including power equipment, mowers, trucks, trailers, and other landscape tools
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in the shop area
- Ensure consistent upkeep and preservation of fleet vehicles and landscaping equipment
- Accurately document and maintain service and repair records
- Provide exceptional internal customer service, prioritizing efficiency, quality, and communication
- Assist with other operational tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of hands-on mechanical experience
- Strong mechanical aptitude, especially with gas/diesel vehicles and landscaping equipment
- Positive attitude and a willingness to learn and grow within the organization
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- High attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality
- Ability to supply personal tools as needed for job responsibilities
- Experience with diesel engines and bilingual ability (English/Spanish) are preferred but not required
