RUN Studios is seeking a talented Technical Producer for a potential future opportunity to join our Redmond-based team. The start date for this role is not yet set and may be a few months out. If interested in being considered, please apply now and we’ll reach out as things open up.

As a Technical Producer, you will need to be highly skilled in communication, understand various end-to-end broadcast processes, and take an ownership role in the Studios flagship events success.  In this fast-paced broadcast environment, we are looking for an energetic, detail-oriented leader with a growth mindset.  This role will be project focused, helping stakeholders accurately understand their needs for a successful event, while working with Technical Operators to ensure they have what they need to ensure effective implementation.

As a Technical Producer, You Will

  • Understand technical and process workflows end-to-end
  • Be able to look at the larger picture and problem solve
  • Schedule and book live events with captioning, transmission, tape op, and streaming components of varying levels
  • Set up basic streaming pages based upon requested parameters
  • Support change management efforts
  • Supply core communications with Technical Operators
  • Manage overall email/client communications to meet pre-defined Service Level Agreement (SLA) response times
  • Document and track live event data, billing, and daily operations
  • Help maintain ongoing technical documentation as well as assist with onboarding and training processes when applicable
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Webcasting, Skycap and Transmission business lines
  • Understand production workflows and their broadcast components
  • Create Show flow, Production book and other documentation for show success
  • Support the creation and implementation of new systems for team success
  • Complete other assignments as needed

As an Applicant, You Bring

  • 2-3 years of technical experience in the production industry
  • 3+ years of experience as a Producer
  • Detailed client focus, and the ability to provide excellent customer service
  • Collaboration skills with a team to build solutions from the ground up
  • Curious mindsets, and like to learn and build new systems
  • Proficiency in digital media fundamentals (frame rates, bandwidth, progressive vs. interlaced, aspect ratios, frame size, resolution)
  • Good understanding of broadcast transmission environments, equipment, and infrastructure. 
  • Creative problem solving, and can suggest new ideas to collaborate with EP’s, clients, and team members
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent project management skills with proven experience managing media technology projects
  • Solution oriented focus, and a growth mindset everyday
  • Understanding and confidence to scope, schedule, budget and have creative processes
  • Ability to focus on, and organize, multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Additional Position Details

  • Supervisory Responsibilities
    • No direct reports, but will supervise productions on a project basis
  • Physical Demands
    • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Work Environment
    • Primary expectation is for in-office presence working alongside other producers/coordinators on the team
  • Travel
    • None currently, however there may be some future travel in the local area to events

Compensation

Pay Range: $65,000 - $70,000 (Annually)

Benefits and perks may vary depending on location and nature of the work, but eligible employees have access to medical, dental, vision, life, and AD&D benefits, health savings and flexible spending accounts, other telehealth and wellness benefits, a minimum of seven paid holidays per year, accrual of at least 6.5 days (Temporary Employment) to at least 15 days (Regular Employment) of paid time off per year, a 401k plan with company match, discretionary bonuses dependent on company, team or individual performance, and referral bonuses for eligible hired referrals.
