Field Superintendent Oversee all aspects of residential jobs for the assigned builders including maintaining quality control, managing crews, meeting builder’s schedules, and controlling costs and efficiency to increase profits.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Daily communication with crews and sub-contractors regarding assigned jobs, work performed material issues, and first-time quality.
  • Manage employees and review work performed to include disciplinary action, and enforcement of all RTM policies and procedures, and employment decisions. Communicate and document any employee issues to H/R and/or the Department Manager.
  • Perform all job pre-start activities including but not limited to develop understanding of plumbing and Gas Job Scope; review and develop understanding of piece rate pay per builder; and determine execution plan on all labor and materials.
  • Manage schedule to ensure adherence to builder’s schedule as agreed to by R.T. Moore; communicate, resolve, and escalate schedule exceptions/adjustments with Production Assistant and/ or Department Manager; and attend jobsite coordination meetings working to ensure job readiness and schedule efficiency.
  • Manage project materials by ensuring no waste during execution of phase and to train crews on efficient use of materials.
  • Control quality by ensuring adherence to all applicable codes, R.T. Moore Quality Standards, and R.T. Moore Best Practices; performing daily walks and in-process inspections; performing quality inspections at the completion of each phase; completion of all testing and submission of testing reports to Production Assistant via Canvas Form Software; and, performing tub inspection and sign-off with builders.
  • Maintain budget by managing builder-initiated change orders / T&M Work Orders through the accurate submission of labor and material estimates to Department Manager; managing allocated assets such as trucks, trailers, tools, and other equipment; and effective management of rental equipment.
  • Create a safe working environment through monitoring and ensuring crew compliance with R.T. Moore and OSHA safety standards; and conducting weekly safety meetings with all crews assigned to the project submitting attendance sheet to Department Manager.
  • Follow and execute directions from Department Manager and EVP of Operations.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Leadership: Train, coach and develop all labor forces as assigned. Effectively mentor and develop high potential Journeyman Plumbers for future Field Superintendent positions. Develop and maintain positive relationships with direct crews, subcontract crews, inspectors, builders and suppliers.
  • Direction: Routine duties are performed with minimal to no supervision; standard practices or procedures allow me to proceed alone at routine work; occasional work is checked while in progress; work is checked upon completion.
  • Safety: Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to Field Project Manager and VP of Field Operations.
  • Teamwork: Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals. Develop an effective and positive work environment for all team members.
  • Education: High school diploma or GED.
  • Experience: Two years of experience necessary. as a Superintendent.

SCHEDULE: Monday to Friday

LOCATION: On-site

SALARY: $55,000 up to $67,000
