POSITION PURPOSE

Senior Payroll Specialist who is engaged in weekly processing of payroll ensuring compliance with FLSA, DOL, IRS and state reporting agencies

DUTIES, TASKS, AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure proper coding of all employees into jobcost and general ledger
  • Calculation, reporting and submittal of all tax deposits
  • Preparation of various federal and state tax returns required by law
  • Calculation and submittal of child support and garnishments
  • Calculation and submittal of HUD reporting
  • Reconciliation of payroll-related general ledger accounts
  • Problem solving and resolution of payroll exceptions
  • Monitoring of adherence to payroll procedures throughout the company
  • Provision of various payroll reporting to management
  • Strong communication and frequent interaction with Human Resources
  • Other various projects

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Moderately noisy environment with light traffic, office equipment, and guest entrance
  • No travel required
