Position Title: Trimble Operator 

Summary of the Job: Utilize Trimble robotic laser locating equipment to mark plumbing stack locations at job sites and assist with CAD documents.  

1. Duties - Essential Functions:  
  • Create stack point locations on CAD’s using Trimble point software 
  • Work with Field Superintendent to answer any layout questions 
  • Use Total Station to mark field layout 
  • Create reports from field layout 
  • Assist with producing plumbing CAD drawings.  
  • Assist with producing HVAC CAD drawings.  
2. Responsibilities:  

Leadership: No leadership responsibilities for this position.  

Direction: Receive guidance with respect to general objectives; in  
the majority of tasks and projects assigned determine methods, work sequence, scheduling and how to achieve objectives of assignments; operate within specific policy guidelines.
Safety: Comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures.  

Teamwork: Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.  

3. Education:  
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. 3-6 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  
Licenses: Valid driver’s license and clean driving record  

Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience in Trimble or AutoCAD experience required. Construction background and/or experience in architectural/construction preferred.

Math Skills: Ability to add, subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.  

 Reasoning Skills: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.  

Computer Operations: Basic understanding of Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365  

Planning and Organization: Ability to prioritize assigned tasks

7. Physical/Environmental Demands:  

Working conditions: Daily work in the field in all weather conditions.  

Work Environment: Varies depending on-site location

Work Schedule: Standard start time 7:00 A.M. with a one hour  

lunch. End time varies depending on completion of daily duties,  

special projects and initiatives. Standard work week; Monday  

through Friday.

Travel: Daily travel to various jobsites  
Physical Requirements:  
  • ­Must be able to stand, walk and climb 3/4 of the day  
  • Capable of lifting at least 80 pounds.  
  • Daily physical activity
