Come join our team as a HVAC Installer!

The role of HVAC Installer, install all components for heating, ventilation, cooling, ductwork, line sets, low voltage wiring, registers & grilles and equipment for multi-family, commercial and residential customers. Perform required pressure testing for line sets installations.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform duct work rough-in installation as noted per plans & spec.
  • Perform line set rough-in installation as noted per plans & spec. Track line set lengths per line set, tag by unit and forward to lead man / Superintendent.
  • Perform register & grilles installation as noted per plans & spec.
  • Perform thermostat, float switch and low voltage wiring installations per plans & spec.
  • Understand and display compliance with R.T. Moore Quality Standards and Best practices.
  • Ensure the tools/power tools provided will be well maintained.
  • Will be available for weekend and OOT work assignments.

 

  • Leadership: No supervisory skills necessary.
  • Direction: Receive guidance from HVAC Lead man with respect to general objectives; in the majority of tasks and projects assigned determine methods, work sequence, scheduling and how to achieve objectives of assignments; operate within specific policy guidelines.
  • Safety: Comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to Field Superintendent and/or Department Manager.
  • Teamwork: Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Licenses: Work toward obtaining EPA certification; NATE certification preferred but not required at this time

 

  • Experience: 1-3 years of work experience preferred; will accept less

 

  • Necessary Skills:
  • Work Ethic: Demonstrated solid work ethic.
  • Attendance: Consistent attendance and arriving at required start times.
  • Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Math Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Reasoning Skills: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Computer Operations: No experience necessary.
  • Planning and Organization: Ability to prioritize assigned tasks and be organized. Must be able to plan ahead on what might be needed the next day or later that day for installations to be performed.

SCHEDULE: Monday to Friday

LOCATION: On-site

SALARY: $22.00 up to $27.00
