We are currently seeking an Opportunity Development Specialist.


The objective of the position is:

  • To prospect and qualify leads via proactive outbound telephone and other outreach methods in an effort to cultivate initial interest in Rosetta Stone solutions
  • To generate and promote attendance for specific marketing-related programs, events, webinars through direct outbound call campaigns
  • Identify and manage sales opportunities through outbound telephone and other outreach methods

This Position requires a demonstrated ability to:

  • Understand the complexities of selling into multiple markets including Government, and Education
  • Support the efforts of the sales department
  • Proactively develop new leads in addition to those provided by Marketing

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

In addition to the above, the position requires a sustained and demonstrated ability to:

  • Conduct cold calls, gather sales intelligence in a methodical way, handle objections persuasively
  • Develop leads through outbound call efforts that result from company conferences, user groups, tradeshows, mailers, webinars, sales programs and other activities in a timely, systematic approach
  • Supplement territory manager visits through designated sales calls
  • Use a consultative sales approach to identify the customer’s needs and promote appropriate solutions during calls and online-meetings
  • Understand and translate key industry trends and developments to effectively position Rosetta Stone solutions and overcome any sales objections
  • When applicable, disseminate leads to the appropriate department and representative
  • Exceed quarterly MBOs

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • 1-3 years of experience in sales prospecting and cold calling environment
  • Proven track record of success working in a fast paced sales organization
  • Ability to work with and answer to different personalities and work styles
  • Self-motivated, goal oriented, and independent decision-maker with a propensity for problem solving
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and communication skills a must
  • Experience selling multiple products and services to individual accounts
  • Professional upbeat telephone voice, strong probing skills, and persistent attitude
  • High technical aptitude, skilled in the use of MS Office applications
  • Fluent in both German and English language
