We are currently seeking a full-time Tax Manager to join our Manufacturing and Distribution practice group in our Atlanta, GA office. As Tax Manager, you will work with a select team providing tax services to predominately foreign-owned manufacturing and distribution clients with business operations located in the US. To be successful in this role, you must be able to manage projects, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively both verbal and written. You must be organized, proactive, and results oriented. This position is open immediately to qualified applicants in Atlanta.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review Federal and state corporate, consolidated returns, partnership, and individual tax returns
- Prepare and review income tax provisions for corporate taxpayers under ASC 740
- Perform technical tax research on a variety of Federal and state tax topics
- Experience performing a variety of tax consulting projects, such as nexus studies
- Maintain active communication to manage expectations and ensure client satisfaction
- Prepare clear, concise workpapers and other communications
- Assist to facilitate staff development, and provide training and learning experiences
- Effectively delegate and oversee the work efforts by setting goals, providing resources, and removing obstacles
- Team with partners and senior personnel on proposals and business development opportunities
- Provide timely training, coaching, and performance feedback to staff associates
Desired Skills & Experience:
- 4+ years of professional Federal and state income tax experience including experience in public accounting
- Income tax return review experience
- BA/BS degree in Accounting or Master’s degree in Accounting/Taxation
- Excellent research, writing and communication skills in English
- Process-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Solid organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
Preferred Qualifications:
- CPA license or similar certification
- Experience in the manufacturing and distribution industry
- ProSystem fx Engagement and CCH Axcess experience
- Experience performing permanent establishment analyses tax consulting projects
- Performing technical research on international tax topics
